S&S Cycle Premium High Performance Tappets Requires S&S Cycle Super G 743-813 or Super D 743-812 carburetor kit which includes the carburetor, manifold, air cleaner kit, and all hardware required. For improved ridability, S&S Cycle recommends the Super G carburetor. It has better low RPM throttle response and offers better control in lower RPM applications. The Super D carb kit is recommended for race applications where high RPM horsepower is the most important factor. The Super D carb kit is not recommended for use on Touring models. The length of the carburetor and air cleaner assembly makes it very hard to reach the rear brake pedal.; Recommended for Dyna models with mid controls only. S&S Cycle T143 engines must not be run with a stock ignition system. A special ignition advance curve is required to prevent serious engine damage. S&S Cycle recommends the Dynatek 380-994 ignition system for 1999-03 models, and the Dynatek 382-359 for 2004-06 models. The Dynatek Programming Kit 382-664 allows S&S Cycle ignition calibrations to be loaded directly into the module from your PC. Ignition calibration files for the T143 engine with a Dynatek ignition are available on the S&S Cycle website under the Tech Info tab. Dyna Models - Require custom exhaust.
