S&S T143 Long Block Engine With Easy Start Camshafts For Harley 

If you want to build the baddest bike on the block, you need a T143! 

The S&S T143 Long Block engine is the largest S&S engine that will fit in a stock Harley- Davidson chassis. At double the HP of a stock motor the power of the T143 requires technical expertise for the installation and tuning along with an experienced rider. This is an ultra performance/race engine. Longevity, engine noise, vibration and throttle sensitivity have all been compromised to reach this level of performance while fitting in a stock chassis and as such is not suitable for every situation.

  • Fits in stock chassis - no cutting or frame modifications
  • S&S Cycle B3 cylinder heads CNC machined with 2 bolt exhaust flanges
  • 3 Piece Flywheels
  • S&S Cycle high flow oil pump and cam cover
  • S&S Cycle 635 Easy Start Gear Drive Cams and S&S Cycle 1.725:1 rocker arms for .674" total lift.
  • S&S Cycle Premium High Performance Tappets
  • Requires S&S Cycle Super G 743-813 or Super D 743-812 carburetor kit which includes the carburetor, manifold, air cleaner kit, and all hardware required.
  • For improved ridability, S&S Cycle recommends the Super G carburetor. It has better low RPM throttle response and offers better control in lower RPM applications.
  • The Super D carb kit is recommended for race applications where high RPM horsepower is the most important factor.
  • The Super D carb kit is not recommended for use on Touring models. The length of the carburetor and air cleaner assembly makes it very hard to reach the rear brake pedal.
  • S&S Cycle T143 engines must not be run with a stock ignition system. A special ignition advance curve is required to prevent serious engine damage.
  • S&S Cycle recommends the Dynatek 380-994 ignition system for 1999-'03 models, and the Dynatek 382-359 for 2004-'06 models. The Dynatek Programming Kit 382-664 allows S&S Cycle ignition calibrations to be loaded directly into the module from your PC.
  • Ignition calibration files for the T143 engine with a Dynatek ignition are available on the S&S Cycle website under the Tech Info tab.
  • 1 Year Warranty

  • Item not eligible for return. Engines ship using freight carriers and thereby require an extra 4-8 business days of lead time.

  • The S&S T143 engine comes with S&S B3 Special Application cylinder heads. Due to the unique exhaust port configuration, stock Harley-Davidson exhaust pipes will not fit, and a special exhaust system is required.
    • S&S Exhaust Flange Mounting Kit #550-0216 includes weld-on adaptors, snap rings and flanges to make it easy to adapt an existing 2” exhaust system, or to fabricate a whole new system.
